Half Term 2

• Content: Building on and closing gaps in learning from Yr 10, focusing on A02. Pupils to focus on developing their work exploring their own personal journey and visual language through a range of materials including collage, printmaking techniques and embroidery pieces. Refinement and realisation of intentions is now encouraged in preparation for the final outcome. Pupils may be able to access a wider range of techniques and processes depending on teaching room and technician availability.

Half Term 3

• Content: Exam unit issued by OCR for January start. Pupils to follow the AO's for 6 weeks preparation, followed by 10 hour-controlled exam. AO1: Looking at a range of artists/designers/cultures relevant to the starting point that will inform the drawing and development of the visual journey AO2: Produce a range of observational drawings based on the starting point. Observational drawings need to include the use of the formal elements, focusing on shading and tone.

Half Term 5 Half Term 4

EXAM: A04 Final outcome based on A01-A03, pupils producing a final piece which is relevant and appropriate to the theme and their visual journey. Final outcome may take the form of a collage mixed media piece, a screenprint, textiles based outcomes.
